Give Hope Back
Rebrand & Website
Give Hope Back is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting children with cancer. We host an annual fundraiser called Give Hope Back’s Lobsterfest, which originally began as a backyard party and has since evolved into an event that has raised over $500,000 for the Children’s Mercy Cancer Auxiliary.
In 2018, Give Hope Back rebranded and shifted its focus toward actively reducing melanoma. We provide free sunscreen, education, and skin cancer screenings to children at high risk for excessive sun exposure. Activities that place these children at a greater risk include participation in youth sports and swimming.
By partnering with the Kansas City Metro Parks system, Give Hope Back aims to decrease the number of children diagnosed with skin cancer in Kansas City. Additionally, we have teamed up with Sporting KC’s non-profit, the Victory Project, to launch the Block-It Program, which supplies free sunscreen stations to local parks and recreational centers.
